Cross Country Ski Headquarters – Amy Powell Ski Clinic & Swix Wax Clinic – December 19, 2015

Snow or not, we are lucky to have Amy Powell teach a ski clinic this Saturday, December 19th. Amy is one of the most experienced PSIA cross country ski instructors in the Midwest, and is also a fantastic skier and athlete. She has won the Michigan Cup, the Vasa 50k Marathon, and many other races and awards. Amy ran a ski clinic for us last year, and it was a huge success and everyone learned a lot from her unique and interactive teaching style and we could just go on and on about how she’s got a keen eye for form and helped staff racer Mariah a ton with her technique and believe us you’d be a big ol’ dummy to miss this chance for some truly great instruction.
Details, please.

If we do indeed have enough snow to cover the Practice Area, Amy will do a skate clinic from 12:00pm-2:00pm, and a classic clinic from 2:30pm-4:30pm. The cost is $25 for one clinic, and $40 for both.

In the event of a grassy practice area, Amy will run a dry land clinic at 2:00pm for both skate and classic. Amy is confident that there is a ton of ski technique, strengthening, and balance work that can be done without even putting skis on, and we believe her. The cost for the dry land clinic is $20, and it will run about an hour and a half.

And then there’s the Swix Wax clinic, also on Saturday, at 4:30pm. Mike Wagner, our Swix and Fischer rep and an avid XC skier, is going to show the latest and greatest from Swix, the 800-pound gorilla of the wax world with more wins on the World Cup circuit than any other wax company. This clinic is free and will leave you ready to make your skis wicked fast.
